Troubleshooting
The most common questions, and how to get the best renders out of your photo sets. Still stuck? Email contact@soarly.ai — or use the bug-report button in the app so we get the context automatically.
Why did some transitions render as cuts instead of glides?+
A glide only works when the next room is already partly visible in the current shot — otherwise the AI would have to invent the unseen part of the house, which looks like melting. Seams without real overlap render as clean cuts (or fades, if you smoothed them). For a true glide, add the bridging photo the Smooth-glide check suggests, then re-plan.
The wizard says some photos don’t fit my film.+
A timed film is built from ~5-second scenes, so a 30s film holds about 7. Leftover photos show dimmed under the filmstrip — switch to a Full-length film to use all of them (up to the 50-photo maximum), or let the AI keep its curated pick.
A real photo was moved to the floor-plan slot (or a floor plan slipped into my film).+
Soarly auto-detects floor plans, site plans and document pages so they never render as melting scenes. If a real photo was wrongly flagged, hover it in the floor-plan slot and tap the photo icon to send it back — or on a Full film, use the one-click “add to film” link in the route step.
Why does my render look soft or blurry?+
Check the source photos: anything under 1000px wide gets a low-res badge in the wizard and will render soft. 4K enhance sharpens the finished film but can’t recover detail that was never in the photo. Re-export originals from your photographer at full size where possible.
There’s a warped logo or text floating in my video.+
That’s a watermark baked into the source listing photo — it warps as the camera moves. Use clean, unwatermarked photos. Soarly never adds its own watermark to your video.
“Couldn’t auto-plan a route this time.”+
The AI planner occasionally fails on a photo set — your render still works and auto-optimises its transitions at render time. You can also tap Reset in the route step to try planning again, or continue as-is.
My render failed. Was I charged?+
No — failed renders refund their credits automatically, and the film page offers a one-click retry (billed as a fresh render). The same auto-refund applies to failed edits, reels, drafts and 4K upscales.
The camera flew somewhere strange between two rooms.+
Attach a floor plan if you haven’t — with one, the route follows the home’s real doorways instead of a guess. Then check the route step: reorder stops so consecutive photos share a view, and use cuts or fades between rooms that don’t connect.
How do I get the smoothest possible film?+
Five things: (1) 10+ photos, shot in a walking order with overlapping views between rooms; (2) a floor plan per level; (3) an oblique aerial or front-exterior photo for the opener; (4) a stairs photo for multi-storey homes — it’s the only way levels can glide together; (5) fix every Smooth-glide warning with a bridging photo or a fade.
